Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Ford Escape, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Demco Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line Kit. Whenever you're flat towing your vehicle down the road, what can happen is your battery can get depleted. All right And that's because some of the systems on the vehicle are using battery power. A lot of stuff is electronic nowadays and is very voltage sensitive and the braking systems, whenever those are being turned on and you're hitting your brakes, those are also using battery power, so what can happen over time is the battery get depleted and eventually run flat and then you got kind of a headache on your hands, right And so that's where a charge line kit like this one here is going to come into play. What'll happen is it'll use auxiliary power from your motorhome 7-way, send that amperage back and essentially trickle charge or maintain your Escape's battery. more

We're gonna take a look at how it fits on the 2018 Ford Escape. If you're looking for a roof rack system, because you wanna carry around accessories like kayaks or baskets or even roof-mounted bike racks, this is gonna be a very strong and sturdy system. Comparing it with some others though, you do have one more adjustment point compared to other racks, it might take a little bit longer, but not that much. Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Demco Battery Charge Line here on our 2022 Ford Escape. So a battery charge line is one of these smaller components of your flat tow setup, but it is a requirement here for the Escape because your battery will drain when you're towing it behind your motor home. So if you don't find a way to charge that from the motor home while you're driving, you're gonna arrive to the campsite with a dead battery, which is not something any of us want. So the battery charge line circuit is gonna hook up to the positive battery terminal here on the vehicle. So the battery's actually in the trunk, so we're hooking up to a positive terminal here on the engine bay. And then it's gonna consist of a wire that runs to the front of the vehicle, and then through the umbilical cord to the motor home. more

Hi there, Ford owners. Today on your 2020 Ford Escape, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Charge Line Kit. And this is what our charge line kit looks like when it's installed. It isn't gonna seem like a whole lot in the kit because really we just need to get power from our motor home to our battery, but we also need to make sure that we're doing it appropriately that's gonna keep our vehicles safe. So in your kit, you're gonna receive an appropriate gauge wire that's gonna have enough diameter in it to allow proper current flow to reach your battery and charge it up. We also need to make sure we've got an appropriate gauge circuit protection. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line kit here on a 2021 Ford Escape. So if you're wondering why we're at the rear of the vehicle, normally we'd be installing these up under the engine bay, but for our Escape here, the hybrid model in particular, the 12 volt battery is located here in the trunk. Now, unfortunately, this means that we're gonna have to supply some extra wire that doesn't come in our kit in order to reach from the rear to the front of the vehicle. So this is what our battery charge line looks like. There's not much to this kit at all. We have a circuit breaker, which is going to help protect the vehicle's battery from any issues on the motor home. more

Hi there, Escape owners. Today in your 2009 Ford Escape, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmasters Second Vehicle Kit for the 9700 Series Supplemental Braking System.There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your Escape behind your motor home. You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle. You'll need your base plate, which provides the connection point for your tow bar to attach to your vehicle. You'll need your diode wiring, which takes all the lighting signals from your motor home and transfers them back to the lights at the back of your vehicle, so people behind you know your intentions when going down the road. And you'll need your supplemental braking system, which will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit the brakes in your motor home. more

Yakima Roof Rack Installation - 2018 Ford Escape y00147- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Escape, we're gonna be test fitting the Yakima RoundBar roof rack system consisting of part numbers Y00408. These are the 48 inch crossbars. We'll also be using part number Y03536, which is the round bar SL adapter kit. And finally part number Y00147 and this are the TimberLine towers for the Yakima crossbar, particularly for factory raised side rails. The Yakima RoundBar roof rack system's great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your Escape while freeing up space inside your vehicle. This can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to cargo boxes. more

Tow Ready 4 Terminal Relay Installation - 2008 Ford Escape- Video
Today in our 2008 Ford Escape, we'll be installing the tow ready relay 4-terminal for 12-volt systems, part number TR38665. Here's what our relay looks like. As you can see, just small square, 4-pin relay. Now, the reason we need this relay, we actually need three of these, is to enable the factory tow package wiring so the wiring that we just installed in our vehicle will be able to function properly. Right here in our fuse compartment, off to the driver's side of our engine bay, that's where our relay box is. We'll just release the tabs here. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2011 Ford Escape 90885- Video
Today on our 2011 Ford Escape we're going to install part number 90885. This is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller. Now to help us with our install we're using a couple other parts. Thule Tracker Roof Rack Foot Pack Installation - 2001 Ford Escape- Video
Today on this 2001 Ford Escape we are going to install a Thule AeroBlade and Rapid Tracker 2 roof rack system. First we are going to install our Tracker fit kit into the factory side rails of our Escape. We will measure from the front of the track to the front edge of our fit kit on both the driver and passenger side to make sure they are even with each other and then tighten them down. Thule Tracker II Roof Rack with Kit Review- Video
Today we are going to install a Thule Tracker II Roof Rack on this 2006 Ford Escape. Using the Thule Tracker II Foot Pack part number TH430R, the fit kit part number THTK1, and the Thule Rapid Air Load Bars part number THRB43. The first step in preparing the roof rack is to loosely assemble the hardware with the bases. Depending on your vehicle application not all of the hardware is going to be used. However on the Escape we are going to need all of them. Through the top of the base we are going to our bolt with the thread locker on it as well as the washers. They do go in a certain order.
